The Sudoku Master's Puzzlebook has now sold out! Thanks very much for everyone who bought it and especially to those who took the time to let us know how much they enjoyed it. Let us know if you have any thoughts about a new book. How about a smaller number of very tough puzzles?

Our Sudoku book has now almost sold out its first edition. We are doing a deal with a major UK bookseller to have it stocked nationwide and, if that succeeds, we will reprint. The feedback on the book has been excellent: as soon as players get the book they get the book! Customers have commented on the excellent paper quality and how much easier the wire binding makes it to use in practice.

I'm very proud that Peta finished 12th out of the 100 finalists in the Independent's Sudoku Grand Master finals on the 17th of July. She had a migraine on the day and we were also in the middle of moving house and yet she finished only 30 seconds behind the 10th place that would have allowed her to compete for the title. Maybe next year...

We're pleased to be adding our support to the London Bombings Relief Charitable Fund which is being organised by the Red Cross. All advertising revenue for the period of one month from 7th July 2005 from this site will be donated to the fund so please get clicking those links. It won't be a huge amount of money (there's very little to be made from advertising) but every little helps.

We're also working on a unique Sudoku book designed with players in mind (you have to wonder whether the publishers who bind their books in the traditional way have ever actually played the game!). We'll be donating a proportion of the cover price of each book to the same charity. This isn't a cynical marketing exercise or opportunism, it's simply our attempt to help.

  Archive feature added. Previously published Sudoku puzzles are available in the week following their original appearance.
You can also complete the sudoku online by clicking in a cell and typing a number. If you then print the puzzle, it will include your numbers so you can partially complete it online and finish it off on paper.
